Love your work with Sting and on your solo albums too. I spend most of my live performance time with bands as a bassist/vocalist, but when I pick up the guitar for my own solo recordings, demos and sketches, your sound, style and tones are the ones I aim to emulate or springboard from more than any other guitarist I've ever heard. I just wish I could find a guitarist besides myself that had or aimed to emulate your sense of musical style, space, tone and restraint. You truly are in a class by yourself. I'll be looking to the future to hear your upcoming recordings and performances that always inspire me to be a better guitarist and musician.

you have said once that brazilian music is so wide and people outside just see it as a one color not a whole detailed spectrum....i would like to tell you that this is true also for oriental civilizations which i guess people in the west think of it as a one dull mass of flesh, i respect you a lot and wish if you could just break the rule of your peoples vision and start noticing our SHAPE.

Dear Dominic Cast your mind back to 1975 or so which would have been when we last spoke, in your parents house halfway down Charterhouse Hill. How are Catherine and Sarah? My father Ronnie Sheward, born in BA just over 90 years ago is still going strong and knew your father - I saw his god-daughter last month, now the Countess of Radnor which sounds very grand but she is the same Jill Petitt/ Eddy as ever. She was giving a charity do at the castle near Salisbury where she now lives. He tells me that he last saw you at her wedding to Jake. I rang and the telephone was answered by her daughter Belinda who I also had not seen or spoken to since 1975. She now lives in Chile and hadn't changed a bit . You don't look much different either! It was very interesting to see your web site and see that you have done so well Good luck and all the best Rob Sheward
